You all voted and you wanted a young adult book to be the featured book for our December Book Club read. As usual, the choosing process was difficult as there are so many critically acclaimed young adult stories to choose from. In the end we decided we would go with The Knife of Never Letting Go from the Chaos Walking series, written by author Patrick Ness.

This is the first time we’ve gone with a book that’s part of a series, but there’s a first for everything. If the reception is good for this book then we’ll have the option to continue reading the series on our next poll.
The Knife of Never Letting Go is a young-adult novel by Patrick Ness, published by Walker Books in May 2008. It initiated the Chaos Walking series, which was celebrated by critics and won annual awards including the Guardian Award. The Knife of Never Letting Go was Ness’s first work for young adults.
Because December is a holiday month, we won’t be announcing January’s book club feature until Jan 6th 2016, which gives us an extra two days to finish the book and wrap up the review. In the meantime look out for some great content from us on this website.
