A to Z Book Tag – My first book tag as a book blogger

A to Z book tag

Book tags are a popular thing in the online bookish community. I’ve rarely participated in these, not because I feel like I’m too cool for it, but because I feel like I’m not as well-read as everyone else. However, this A to Z book tag, that I first discovered on ANovelIdea.net is one that I’d like to challenge myself to complete. Anyone reading is also welcome to join in.

So here goes my answers for the A to Z book tag…

|A| Author you’ve read the most books from

J.K Rowling. Because I haven’t read seven books from any other author.

|B| The best sequel ever

The Ask and the Answer book cover, buy now

The Ask and the Answer by Patrick Ness

|C| Currently reading

1984 by George Orwell

|D| Drink of choice while reading

Coffee or water

|E| E-reader or physical copy?

I prefer physical, but reading on Kindle is so much easier and saves space.

|F| Fictional character you would have dated in High School

Y.T from Snow Crash would be my high school girlfriend in the A to Z book tag.

Y.T from Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson

|G| Glad you gave this book a chance

The Vegetarian by Han Kang

|H| Hidden gem book

Slugfest is a hidden gem on my A to Z book tag list

Slugfest: Inside the Epic, 50-year Battle between Marvel and DC. I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did.

|I| Important moment in your reading life

My mum forcing me to finish reading Chamber of Secrets after she’d bought it for me and I’d given up on it. At this point in time, I was going through adolescence and I thought I was too grown to read Harry Potter. I was ignorant. Good thing my mum changed my mind, or I may have never become the reader I am now.

|J| Just Finished

Norwegian Wood is just finished on my A to Z book tag list

Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. And The Infinity War by Jim Starlin.

|K| Kind of books you wont read

I don’t like saying there’s a type of book I wont read, as I like to think that I’d read anything.

|L| Longest book you have ever read

Reamde by Neal Stephenson. It’s 1056 pages total. I still don’t know how I did it.

|M| Major book hangover, because of…

A Brief History of Seven Killings. Because it was so overwhelmingly good. It was a lot to take in.

|N| Number of bookcases you own

Just 1, because I have limited space. Some day I want to take up 3 walls with books.

|O| One book you’ve read multiple times

Every Harry Potter book.

|P| Preferred place to read

If not in my bedroom, then at a random coffee shop in London.

|Q| Quote that inspires you
